Lots of stuff in one blog!

Grandma came to visit!!!... and although it was for less than 48 hours, it was well worth it and a lot of fun. On Friday night we had Jen and Ryan over for games and dinner (Jon won… grrrr!). On Saturday we had Brayden’s first birthday party (yes there has been 2, and one more still coming). We went to the park and played, ate cake and ice cream, hit candy out of a piƱata, and opened presents… it was a lot of fun for the kiddo’s. Then on Saturday night we went to the Powell’s Valentines Day party (previously posted). Some of you want to know what my mom won… I’ll never tell, but maybe she will when she updates her ever so neglected blog! Then on Sunday we went to our way too early church (8:00 am) while my mom stayed home with Anabelle who was sporting a little cold. After church we met up with our friends Michelle and Nick and their son Drew and ate a yummy picnic at the park… all in all, it was a busy weekend but WAY fun, and even better with the company of Grandma Jones (sorry mom, but the “hip” title of “Tam the Gram” isn’t sticking with the kids… you ARE grandma Jones!).

Here's what my mom won! She turned the label around!!!
Here's the kiddo's at the "Superhero Party"

Happy Birthday Brayden!

So Brayden is officially 5, February 21, 2003. Again, I am reminded of how old I am getting! I can’t believe we have a 5 year old Jon! On Brayden’s “official” birthday we went to Chucky Cheese. We were supposed to see Grandpa Jolley who was visiting from Utah but he got a terrible cold and had to postpone his trip. Unfortunately for us (and fortunate for Brayden and Jack) we talked about going to Chucky Cheese so much that even without Grandpa, we were bound to go. So now when Grandpa comes at the end of March, we’ll be going again… what a spoiled little 5 year old!... but worth everything to us.

Today we went to the zoo for Jack’s preschool field trip. I kept Brayden out of school so he could come with us, and it was SO chaotic! I was happy that I left Anabelle with her aunt Jen so I could chase after the boys. I honestly think the only animals we saw were turtles and iguanas because the boys wanted to play in the “play house” for the entire time. I don’t think I’ll be getting a zoo pass this year!!!

Okay, so I really am going private, I’ve just been super busy and now that I have time I just want to post!! If you haven’t emailed me or left me a comment with your email address then do it… or else! And believe me, if you think you are a weirdo for admitting that you check my blog you are NOT! I’m a pretty impressive blog surfer myself!!!

Oh, and one more thing, I cut 10 inches off of my hair! I couldn’t donate to Locks of Love because my hair was so layered, bummer! Anyway, I was going to take a picture to show you, and ended up doing this... face it, I'm married to Jon, he's taught me to act like this!

What's wrong with me you guys?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!!!

Valentines Day aka Single Awareness Day

Okay so I'm not a huge fan of Valentines Day, and that's an understatement. I just think that a Holiday that excludes people isn't very nice, again another understatement! So Jon and I pretty much veto this Holiday, except Jon never really does so that leaves me looking like a jerk! I think he's afraid that I don't really mean it when I say "don't get me anything" he must think that I'm pulling the 'girl thing' and meaning the opposite of what I say... oh, and FYI... I NEVER do that... I'm actually a little too straight forward, so I don't know where this fear comes from because his mom is even more forward then me... hmmmm. Anyway, if it were up to me, we'd get rid of Valentines Day, I don't need a "special holiday" to remind me that I'm loved and that I love others... do I sound bitter!?!?!

Apart from my feelings about Valentines Day, we were invited to a Bunko Valentines Day party and it was a riot! My mom was in town (I'll post more pictures of that soon) so Jon was the stud at the party with 2 wives!!!

My good friend Mandy threw a killer party, she's a Martha Stewart. There was an amazing dinner, it was delicious, a heart shaped cake, and chocolate covered EVERYTHING! It was deliecious and beautiful. And apart from that, Jon, my mom and I took 2nd place... ROCK ON! Here's what we won...

Jon will look HOT in this!!! I'm so embarrassed right now!!!

But not nearly as embarrassed as I was with what my mom won!!!

Eating the grub and chatting!
