All About Jon!

TAGGED

Jennica tagged me so here we go… and Jen, I wasn’t ignoring your last tag… I just already did that one… love ya!

Time to spotlight the hubby.

What is his name? Jonathan Blaine Jolley

How long have you been married? 6 ½ years… holy moly!

How long did you date? 8 months before mission and 15 months after... (and I didn’t date at all while he was gone… I just sat in a corner and waited patiently!)

How old is he? 28

Who eats more sweets? Me… dah!

Who said I love you first? Jonny did! January 3rd, 1998!!!... yes Milli, I remember that date too!!!

Who is taller? Jon

Who can sing better? Ha ha! ME!!! But if you asked about dancing I’d have to say Michael… I mean Jon!

Who is smarter? He’s pretty bright, I’d have to say him!

Who does the laundry? Me!

Who pays the bills? Jon… he’s controlling!!!!

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? If you really want to know… it’s him (when laying in the bed).

Who mows the lawn? Mostly him… but now that it’s a year-round task (okay, okay, I’ll stop finding every way to rub the wonderful weather in… sorry!!!)

Who cooks dinner? Mostly me, but Jon makes a killer Mac & Cheese and I pretty much suck at cooking!

Who drives? I do… Jon stops at green lights and gets pulled over for going too slow… this is where the majority of our arguments start!!!

Who is more stubborn? Probably me…

Who kissed who first? Jon kissed me first (Jen, tell Rob thanks for waiting so long to kiss you… I suffered with you!!!)

Who asked who out first? Jon asked me out but I think I had a crush on him first (don’t tell him!)

Who proposed? Jon did… what a romantic boy!

Who has more siblings? Jon

Who wears the pants? Lets just say that the rumor of “if it rains on your wedding day then the girl wears the pants” is right!!! We got married in August and it rained that morning!!!

Now I tag (and you better do this or I’ll blog bug you)… Ashley Aoki, Ashley Kearns, Becky Culligan, Jacy Clayton, Mandy Engar, Julie Burton, Jess Perry, Tiffany Warton and Kassie Esplin… oh and Tammy Jones (you are slacking so much mom!)

Puerto Vallarta

We are all diamonds

This clip makes me cry everytime I watch it... I just love it! Make sure you pause my music on the bottom right of the blog. Enjoy!

Itch, Itch... Scratch, Scratch!

Dear blog readers,

Okay so I need some help! Camille Goldy, I'm counting on you, and anyone else that knows about skin and hair care. So Arizona is awesome, our family loves so many things about it here. We love the weather this time of year, we love our neighborhood, we love our ward, and we love the schools here... but I have one complaint... the dry air. This is probably a little morbid but I swear that the first layer of my scalp has peeled off... just like snake skin!... and I'm itchy! I wake up in the morning with these random scratches all over my body (I guess I'm scratching in my sleep or something)... so HELP... what shampoo and conditioner should I be using to moisten my scalp and what lotion should I use for really dry skin? I never had this problem in Utah!!!

Sincerely yours,

Dry morbid snake-scalp girl!

Erin Ross

Okay, so first of all a million-trillion THANKS to all of you for your wonderful advise and thoughtful words for me. I have already started applying lots of your advise to my life and it's helping so much. If I'm ever having a moment I will always refer back to this blog and all the positive comments that were left for me to read, also, for those of you that emailed me or sent me something (or changed my blog) THANK YOU SO MUCH! It feels really great to know that I can be honest about my good times and real about my "not so good" times and know that so many of you care. That has been the most helpful thing for me. I have wonderful friends and amazing people in my life... again, love ya'll!

Secondly, for all of you that have joined my "friends" list, thanks for finding me and leaving me a comment, it's SO FUN to add people and check out how everyone's families, careers, and lives are changing... so if you visit (or spy) leave me a comment!... hey, we ALL do it!!!

Thirdly, isn't my blog SO CUTE! Katie Delahunty is amazing so if you want to spice your blog up, email her!

Now, for the main event of my post, I would like to announce (with permission) that one of my BFF's Erin Ross is in a new movie! It's on the Oxygen channel on Saturday the 19th (as in this Saturday). The movie is called "Husbands for Hire" and she plays Mark Consuelos' crazy girlfriend! When I talked to Erin she said this film was a blast to shoot. She casually told me about having dinner with Mark Consuelos and Mario López and the rest of the cast as though we all have had dinner with A.C. Slater and Kelly Ripa's husband!

So watch this Saturday and keep your eye open for this rising star! She's already been involved in a lot of things, but my favorite was seeing her in "King of Queen's"! I peed a little bit when she popped up on my TV! Oh, and back off... she already told me that I'm her Red Carpet date!!!

Don't forget the little people Eray! If you want to leave her a comment leave it here, she has promised that she'll start either a myspace page or a blog but until then, I told her to use mine!

Love ya Erin... oh, and FYI from our old softball days, this is our year! 2-00-8! When are we going to Italy again... Megan can we stay with you and Pasquale?!?!

Venting

Okay so my good friend Kassie told me I could vent on my blog, now that I have permission, here I go! So I've been checking everyone's blogs lately and I've been feeling a little down... I've come to the realization that I need a HOBBY! I'm such a dork! As I read about all the talents all of you have, I get a little discouraged with myself. I feel like maybe I've lost some (if not most) of my individual identity in being a mom and a wife. I use to be this crazy athlete with all sorts of hobbies and talents, but how does throwing a softball help me be a good mom? I use to have ambition and motivation pouring out of me, but lately I find it hard to get a shower every-other day... sigh!

Now I'm going to be somewhat of a name dropper... Okay, Tiffany, Jennica, and Ashley you impress me so much with your kitchen skills! Tiff, I don't even know half of the items you ate for New Years and you are so fashionable! And Ash and Jen, when I told Jon you did the entire Thanksgiving dinner alone he chuckled as I said, "can you even imagine what it would be like if I attempted Thanksgiving dinner?"... DISASTER! We would end up at McDonald's... except that it's not opened on Thanksgiving, so we'd settle for Top Ramen!... if I didn't burn that! And Brittney, what the crap!?!? That apron is awesome... I want one, I'll buy one! It's so cute! How do you find the time to balance being a mom, a career woman, and do all the crafty things you do... and read a million books?... seriously, I need some lessons from you. Milli, my little sister. How did you make that hat for Anabelle? It's the cutest thing EVER! Between you working, supporting your soon to be doc of a husband and working out (cutest body ever), running a marathon, learning to sew or crochet (see I don't even know the difference), learning to cook, etc... I'm jealous. I need some of that ambition. Camille, I envy you! Your writing skills are fantastic! I love visiting your blog just to read... I literally laugh out loud when I read about your crazy adventures. You are a working girl with so many opportunities, seriously you can do hair and be a therapist (aren't they the same thing anyway?!?!) Jodi and Jess, my photography friends, it seems as though you have it all together! Working from home with your own business and taking care of your families. Jace, that brings me to you... 2 kids and still working and finding the energy to plan fun vacations and such... sheesh! Katie, you are SO good at photoshop and SO good at creating blog designs for... well everyone! Ashley Aoki, you are so busy! You never seem to stop and it seems as though everything you touch turns to gold! You are so motivated and outgoing, and even a brand new baby doesn't slow you down. The Perry girls, you guys both seem so confident and happy. Jess, you are such a great wife to let Trent go to Mexico without you, I would have made Jon stay back with me and then complained about being pregnant the entire time! Kassie, you are so real and honest! I loved your last blog where you said something like "I want to be act and be how I want the world to act and be" (such a misquote but I think that's what you were saying)! Kari, how cool is it that you ran a 5K on New Year's Eve trying to beat the midnight countdown? You seem to be embracing motherhood and you seem so happy. Mandy, you are such a good balanced person, between your babe and your hubby and work and softball, you are so good at what you do. Alison, you are so smart... just reading your blog makes me smarter! Karen, you have always been so organized and "on top" of things... how do you manage it all? Tracie, you are such a great mom and a wonderful support to Mike.

Okay, I'm digging myself in a hole now... if I didn't mention you, it's not because I don't idolize you or think you are wonderful, it's because I got too tired to go on!!! Anyway, my point is, all ya'll are so good at life. Sometimes I doubt my abilities and maybe even my potential. I need to get involved in something other than my wonderful family... I guess I need to do personal thing, what is it that therapist call it?... self care maybe? I need some of your motivation, some of your spunk, so if you could kindly send it my way, I would appreciate it... I hate to use the 'D' word but sometimes I feel depressed... YIKES! Does this post make me vulnerable or what?!?! So any suggestions on where to start? Let me know... oh and a warning... I am NOT FISHING for compliments, so don't give them, just advise :)

I love you all and admire you so much.
