Yes, yes, I realize that the Dolphins weren't actually in the Superbowl BUT if the Patriots were to win, then they would have tied with the Dolphins 1972 record of 19-0 and we couldn't let that happen right?!?! First of all, I'd like to state that the Dolphin's were NOT my team until Saturday night when my husband drug me to a sports store to purchase Dolphin attire. He explained to me that "if this marriage is gonna work, you'll have to make the Dolphins YOUR team"... okay, okay! Apparently in 1972 the Dolphin's went undefeated and won the Superbowl that year... so this year the Patriots were 18-0 trying to steal the glory from "the fish" (another thing I learned... the Dolphins are a.k.a "the fish"). Anyway, I was just going along for the ride until I met a lady at Walgreens, she was from Boston and wearing a Patriot's shirt. Well I was wearing my new Dolphins shirt and she looked at me and said, "you know, your team isn't in the Superbowl"... oh really lady, hmmmm, I didn't realize that. I politely (not so politely) laughed and said, yeah, but we can't have the Patriots winning today or else they will tie "my team's" record. She politely (not so politely) explained to me that the Giants were going down and the Patriots were "on the pathway to perfection" (yes she really said this). I tried not to throw up on her or punch her in the face and politely (not so politely) said "we'll see". If you know me, you know that I'm a little on the competitive side... go figure! Anyway, Jon was pleased when I got home and told him that the Patriots were dead meat and the Giants were going to win!We went to the Chappo's house (which is gorgeous Kristy) and had the greatest time! The food was fabulous, the company was so fun, the kids played great in the loft, and the game was fantastic! Everyone wanted the Giants to win!!! Yeah, GO GIANTS!
Anyway, Phoenix was the hottest place to be this weekend... Hollywood graced us with its presents! We decided not to go "star hunting" and skipped all the crowded venues. However, we wouldn't have had it any other way, we had a riot this Superbowl... my favorite by far!

Anabelle and Kristy, right before Bella puked all over her!

Sally and Sadie

The fella's

Chica's playing a game durning half-time!

Lindsay and Kim... GO GIANTS!
One more thing, my favorite highlight (other than the win) was when some guy made the most amazing catch and when that happened the entire room erupted with screams, and Lindsay started making out with her hubby in celebration!!! Oh yeah!!!
Was that game awesome!!? It was really good and your story is AWESOME. I love that you know all the stats I have to know being married to Mike! GO DOLPHINS! I think they won like 1 game this season!
ReplyDeleteYeah Kassie, I was trying to leave that SMALL detail out of my blog... but yeah, they won 1 stinkin' game!!!
ReplyDeleteWe were rooting for the Giants too--but not for the same reason as you! But because of your persuasive blog post, I think we may need to become Dolphins fans now...
ReplyDeleteI know how it is. The Packers are now "my team" But I don't mind, I think its fun to have a team to root for. Although it was probably hard to be a Dolphins fan this year. At least the Giants won. If they're gonna beat the Packers they might as well win the super bowl. Plus, I really don't like the Patriots. That game was fabulous!
ReplyDeleteIt was so fun to be with all you fun people! Cute pics too...I'll have to get copies. I'm thinking Juno tomorrow evening at 6:30 or 7:15... any chance you could go?
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a kick-A party. I think I just kept eating and eating at our party because I was so nervous. It was an awesome game. I was also going for the Giants because I think Tom Brady (who is the pats QB... if you didn't know) is a pansie pretty boy. I kept showing Phoenix and how pretty it is and I'm pretty sure I convinced Travis to do a residensy there, so start looking for cheap houses for us.
ReplyDelete*ps this is for Jennica Mackley if she reads this. I want to look at your blog, but it is blocked. Add me to it! My email is millisue10@hotmail.com
I got your message on my blog and I don't think it is fair for you to stock me and not have me stock you!
The things we do for our hubbys.....looks like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteYou all look so great. I love the little marriage ultimatum involving the Dolphins. Of course, now living in New York, we had to root for the Giants.
ReplyDeleteEver since we lived back east, we have hated the patriots somethin fierce! Those fans are the most obnoxious (besides the Raiders). So good for you for tellin that lady where to stick it! Ha Ha!
ReplyDelete-Amber
You are such a follower....can't you have your own team? hehe. JK. Apparently I have become a BEARS fan since Wes is all about the bears. He even bought me a sweatshirt. Its pink. : )
ReplyDeleteYou are such a little gamer! Love it! I also love that you can be so competitive about a team that you had just adopted hours before! I remember when I went to a Cowboys game with my family and they lost, who was it to get in a fight...Judge Judy! Of course! Mommies have all the spunk!
ReplyDeleteHow fun ! I am jealous though of the little families that you guys are friends with, Bry and I are turning into antisocials now that we have kids !! I just wish we had some cute fams to do stuff with. Looks like you guys had a fun night :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun party! I think this was the first superbowl game Trent has ever watched in his life. It's kind of sad when the wife knows more about football than the husband. I married a girly man!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Have I mentioned like 500 x's that I am coming to Az in the next month or 2...hint hint...we should probably do lunch!
ReplyDeleteThat story in Walgreens was hillarious, but I'm glad it sealed the deal.....go Dolphins!
ReplyDeleteif I read this correctly, you met a lady at Walgreens on Sunday. Doea your bishop know?
ReplyDeleteOh...you tagged me. I will get on that right away...too bad I have to talk about Trent. He is so boring!!! Just kidding. i am excited to do this tag!
ReplyDeleteTiff, you weren't suppose to pick up on that... and no, my bishop doesn't know :)
ReplyDeleteIt's been a horrible sports week for me! Not only did the Giants win this week (which I was rooting against because I HATE Eli Manning) my man got traded. What's going on in the world of sports? Everything has gone crazy!!! I did say the best part of the Giants winning was me getting to see my man Peyton cheer for his brother which was WAY hot!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous family! We miss hanging out with you guys. Do you come in town any time soon?
ReplyDeleteOk, this is random and has nothing to do with the superbowl, but the opera guy you have a clip of is touring the united states , performing. Simon Cowell made him a star. Random! Kellie
ReplyDeleteVeronica... I know, I thought about you the second I realized that Shawn was going to Miami... but (and don't kill me) I really like Shaq. Oh, and did I ever tell you that Jon works with a girl that dated Shawn for 9 months? He's trying to get pictures of them together :) And Kellie, I know, that guy is awesome huh?!?! He's coming to Tempe or Mesa soon, but the tickets are around $300.00 a piece... YIKES! ERIN BRADLEY... when are you going to start a blog... I want to see your kiddo's!
ReplyDeleteErin, nevermind... you stared one!!!
ReplyDeleteTice- I know I'm part of the blogging world now. I'm actually quite proud of myself becuase I am a total idiot when it comes to computers. Your family is seriously so cute, and you look as gorgeous as ever! How is Bella? Don't you love having a girl? We need to talk one of these days so we can catch up on everything.
