If You Spew, Spew in This!

Okay so here's your warning... this is so disgusting... seriously, if you are not 18 please exit the blog, viewer discretion is advised. I do not want to be held accountable for anyone passing out and hurting themselves!!! So I had a hurt toe last week and overnight it turned into this...

No big deal right?... wrong, it hurt so bad I about passed out, and this is coming from a girl who has given natural child birth. Anyway, I decided it was time to go to the doctor and have it taken care of so I could have my normal life back... what's normal by the way?!?! So after a little coaxing from my husband we went to the doctor together. I was terrified because they were going to numb it by putting a needle right in the infection... YUCK. So when I got there I started talking really loud and really fast (imagine that). I insisted that they give me something to get me through the "operation"... may I again remind you that I have had a baby... NATURAL! So after I scared them enough, they gave me a shot of Valium in my buttocks and it hurt SO BAD.

Then the nightmare started... the shot, or should I say, the 3 shots. And thanks to my lovely husband who smuggled the camera in, we can all take a look...

And here is what I was doing...

Then, and here comes the gross part, he pulled this out from under my skin...

And here is me again...
Pretty much this entire experience sucked... and was disgusting! Jon thought it was pretty cool and so did the doctor... oh and I thought it was cool when I got home and the Valium kicked in... NICE!... and no Mandy, I still have my toe nail!!!

  1. Natural Childbirth!? What were you thinking? Please don't tell me you did it twice.
Oh and yeah, that was pretty dang gross lookin'. I'm glad they didn't have to amputate.

  2. What, exactly, was it that they "pulled out" of your toe? I can see it, but I don't know what it is. Is it part of your body or a foreign object? And how did it get in there? hehe
And kudos to getting through that - does your toe at least feel better?

  3. So, what exactly WAS under your toe? I can't believe they let you have the camera in there. I wish I could have taken pics when my fingernail was ripped off down to the bone. That would have been cool pictures to share. GROSS!! hehe

  4. Brooke, it was an in-grown toe nail, I should have said that!!! And Q, the natural childbirth was with Jack, and it was an accident that will NEVER happen again!!!

  5. Yuck! Sorry you had to go through that...there is nothing worse than something wrong with your foot. Seriously, you need your feet to walk-I understand and my heart goes out to ya! (Had foot surgery last October-ugh!)

  10. While natural childbirth I have not experienced (or any kind for that matter), I have had my big toenail removed before. I will agree with you that having that done was the WORST thing ever! I was a sophomore in HS and can still remember the shots, I almost passed out. No other drugs for me. It was disgusting and even worse, my toenail grew back crooked.

  13. YUCK...and cool!!! I guess thats why I am going to be a nurse, right? My husband had this very same surgery a couple of years ago, and it was becasue I MADE him go to the doc. That part of his toenail never grew back, so he has a half toe nail. Anyway, he was not happy with me, because he said it was OUT OF CONTROL painful. So, I am sorry that you had to go through the same thing :)

    Natural childbirth? yikes!!!!

  16. You seriously are the funniest girl ever, and Milli. I could just watch you two all day just having a conversation.
I usually get grossed out pretty easy, but this was really quite amusing. Thank you for documenting this experience.
P.s. Do all ingrown toenails have to be treated like this at the doctors office?
