For Her

Anabelle Jane October 2014 - 50's Day at School

Some weeks are hard.
Some weeks are harder than the hard weeks.
Some weeks are so hard that I am not sure I will survive.
Some weeks are so hard that I am not sure I WANT to survive.

This week I found out that my daughter is autistic.
I'm not completely shocked.
I am completely terrified.

Sometimes life doesn't make sense.
Sometimes I don't have the right words to say what I need to say...

So I sing...

    I'm sitting here eating with my kids, I listen to your song.... and now I'm bawling. This is absolutely beautiful. BEAUTIFUL. I love my tribe so much :)

    My 6 year old son is autistic. He is the most beautiful wonderful person in my life. Your daughter has a wonderful mamma!!!!

    I feel the Spirit so strongly when I hear you sing. I also feel like I'm looking into the eyes of an angel when I look at Bella. I feel so connected to her and I can see her beauty inside and out. That girl is the epitome of love. I know you know how lucky you are to be her mom and she is equally as lucky to have you as her mom. The two of you belong together. I feel it. I know it. I can see it.
    I am so grateful to be a part of your tribe. I am so grateful to be able to watch you be brave and fight for your children to have the best lives they can have. You are my hero and I wouldn't say that if it wasn't true so don't you dare roll your eyes right now or I'll come over and start singing Mariah Carey's 'Hero" on your front porch on repeat!!! And you know I will...
    Anyway, I am so proud to call you my friend. I am proud to be in your life and see the influence you have on so many. Bella is going to thrive because she has you. Bella will know she is loved because of you.
